An amazing maze of fun. The walls of the maze displayed on the video screen constantly change position, while The Pursuer (a square) controlled by one player chases The Pursued (a plus sign) controlled by a second player. As The Pursuer moves in closer and closer to The Pursued, an electronic beep sound increases in frequencs to a fever pitch… until The Pursued is finally caught and wiped of the screen. Each time there is a acatch, a point is scored and the chase begins all over again.
Lots of visual and sound action. The Pursuer and Pursued symbols are in constant motion and Gotcha keeps beeping even when the game is not being played. It is irresistable.
A challenge for both players. Gotcha is another great video skill game from ATARI… this time with plenty of psychological twists and turns. and free-flowing adrenalin. Players like to switch roles from being The Pursued to being The Pursuer. It's a pell-mell "Cat and Mouse" game either way, with loads of challenges and excitement.
Die frühe Version arbeitet mit sogenannten Boob-Controllern, die an weibliche Brüste erinnern sollen. Nach aufkommender Kritik wurden dann Standard-Joysticks verwendet.
