Gremlins basiert auf dem gleichnamigen US-Spielfilm (deutscher Verweistitel: Gremlins – Kleine Monster) von 1984 mit Zach Galligan in der Hauptrolle.
Das gleichnamige Atari 2600-Spiel ist ein komplett anderes Spiel und basiert nicht auf dem Arcadespiel. Die 5200-Version entspricht der Apple II- und den anderen Atarisoft-Versionen.
